Engelsk oversættelser

Jeg har lavet 5 oversættelser:

1. The Whitemans had always lived quite traditionally.

2. They had their roots in Victorian England, and thought that the development in modern Europe went far too quick.

3. Earlier they have had their permanent cabin at the Queen Mary, they have visited most of the colonies, they were used to great hotels like the Hilton and the Plaza, and at least one a month they went to concert in the Royal Albert Hall.

4. They could not really get use to the many changes: they thought that BBC had become frivolous, British car brands like the Rover and the Bentley had been replaced by the Fiat and the Mazda, and the London they had been fond of, were slowly being ruined by (the) modern architecture.

5. They were longing for the good old days, before the IRA, before the EU, in short before the world went out of joint.



--> Er lidt i tvivl mht. nogle ting:

1: - Om der skal ' i the Whiteman's?

4: - Om der virkelig skal stå the foran alle bilmærkerne?
- Om der skal være the foran modern architecture?

Håber nogen kan hjælpe mig, og hvis i evt. kan finde andre fejl, ville jeg også blive glad hvis i gad påpege dem. Vil også gerne have argumentation for rettelserne, hvis det er muligt tak :)
