Engelsk retning :)

Hej allesammen. Jeg er en af de personer som ikke er særlig god til engelsk. Jeg har skrevet en kladde og ville spørger om der er nogle som gider, at se om jeg har nogle stavefejl og kommafejl. Så er i rigtig søde. Tak på forhånd:)

In this story the narrator tries to relate to how India had it since England had colonies in India and at that time it was not good for those who lived in India because they were treated badly by the English also because of their black skin color. The short story is also about the upper class, lower class and religion, for example. had an Indian person can not sit in a classical first place where the British also found themselves, they would throw the Indian person out there.
This story is about a person called Sir Mohan Lal who find themselves at a station. Sir Mohan began talking to a mirror which existed at the station, and the mirror replied back to him. Sir Mohan was with Lachmi as Sir Mohan's wife. Lachmi was a squat woman, and was mid-forties. Sir Mohan and Lachmi should travel with a train. And Sir Mohan was waiting for the waiting room because he was traveling first class. Sir Mohan was in fact a vizier and a lawyer, and he was good at speaking English. Lachmi was a woman who could not understand English, so she sat in Zenana inter-class (lower class) for Indian women's section of the train. Her husband had almost no time for her because he could not take her illiterate relatives hanging on him. Sir Mohan was a modern person, and was an educated person and was an important man who had power over other people. But his wife could neither spell nor write. They had two different personalities with them, one of them is veludannede abroad and the other can not be anything for example. spell or write.
The story ends with Sir Mohan and his wife were thrown off the train by two soldiers.
In this short story you get insights from some religious features, which is about karma, for example. treated Sir Mohan Lachmi not good. Sir Mohan was sitting in the upper class section of the train while Lachmi sat in the lower class section of Indian women. There is clearly a power differential in this action. For him, she is worthless, and afford to treat her bad example. that he should travel with the upper class while she just had to travel with the underclass. And in India, most Hindus. And in Hinduism one believes in karma, which is when you look at what good deeds you have made in through life, and bad things, and from that you will be reborn. You will be reborn into something good if you have made some good deeds, and the opposite if you have made some bad stuff you will be reborn into something less good.
I think if now everyone in the whole world believed in karma, so I think the world would be a more peaceful place to live, because then people would, from my opinion do good deeds so they could be reborn into something good
It is ironic in this story is that such a person like him can not figure out to marry her because there is class difference between them and one is educated and has a status in society, and the woman opposite of him, she has no status, but perhaps as a homemaker. One can clearly see that the man is older than the woman in this novel. The man has power and is strong, determines what should be done while the woman is the one who obeys the order as the man gives her.
But not in all countries, women are treated badly. For examplein modern countries like the U.S..and Denmark and other countries in Europe, since women are treated very well. They even have equal rights as men have. But we see in many modern countries, women's rights has grown enormously since the old days. In the old days women would just stay home and keep house and cook for the whole family. The men clearly had a greater power over women like in the story. Women could not get the same rights as men had the time. But today we see in many countries, women have the same rights as men also have. One can clearly see that the women also dominate in schools and they learn quickly. But of course it is not in all countries, women have the same rights as in the story. So it is in Islam that women do not have the same rights as men have. But maybe in the future, all women worldwide have the same rights as men have.
The message of this text is that in some countries there are still where women are under men's control and it is men who decide about them. The man is the person who must earn money and raise her family while the woman is the one to cook and look after the family. Sir Mohan treats his wife Lachmi really bad, and have almost never time for her. Also that he can allow himself to travel first class while his wife will travel with the underclass. In this story you can clearly see that Sir Mohan made some bad deeds against Lachmi.
I think this story is interesting story, because we hear how Sir Mohan treated his wife badly through the choices he has decided. But then finally when he was thrown off the train, he could see how they feel to be treated badly. In some places in the world, is unfortunately also true that women are treated badly by their husbands. But maybe in the future all women should enjoy equal rights as men have.

'Skal aflevere'. (modalverb + infinitiv, ikke modalverb+præsens)

Så må man vel bare spørge i god tid. Det kræver jo så at man selv går i gang med sin besvarelse i god tid. ;)
