Increase of salary?

A Danish rapport about the teachers’ working hours shows that the teachers are not as busy as they believe.

To the teachers this comes as a chock, they feel that they do not appreciate their efforts.
The teachers have for a long time talked about that their workdays have been longer and tougher than earlier. They have more meetings and they have to use more time on the students’ social and personal problems.
A spokesman of the Danish Teachers’ Association comments on the rapport on the following way: “Are people aware of that these new duties “steal” our breaks and spare time?
The parents ought to think that we get more and more disciplinary difficulties in the classes. We must also draw your attention to the fact that we salarywise have fallen behind.
In spite of the fact that the rapport is to be published right before the negotiations with the state, we will still try to get our members better conditions”.
However, it is a question whether the teachers will succeed in convincing their employer and the rest of the population that they do not earn enough in proportion to their effort. It is probably groups in society, which have both a harder job and a lower salary.
