Hej, jeg skal aflever et Essay om filmen Catfish, men jeg er ikke særlige god til grammatik, er der måske nogen, der kan hjælpe mig med grammatiken?.

The movie tells us about the ups and downs of living in the ultra-wired world of Facebook, Google, and YouTube. How we can meet totally stranger from Facebook, Twitter and other social media, and how we can pretend to be someone where not, how social media has given us the ability to create our own version of reality. I think it’s fascinating, how he start searching on the internet for information, it’s show us how search engines like Google have made it infinitely easier and faster to access information. The movie saw us how it is possible to create an approximation of your actual personality, you just have to put a picture, a short biography, some links and content you share on your Facebook wall. And then it start to show your actually personality, for a stranger.

The movie tells about Nev, who is a photographer and live in New York City.  He meet an 8-years old painter, Abby, on Facebook. Abby sends him paintings of his photographs. Then he connects with the other member of the family, on Facebook, including Abby’s older sister Megan. He decide that he want to meet Megan in personally. On the trip, the start to see the truth. At the end, the found out that Angela, who is Abby’s mother, plays all the roles, that Nev had meet. Nev decides to help Angela and the become friends.

I think Angela did what she did, because being friend with Nev, showed her things that she didn’t have access too. She wasn’t always happy with her life. She wanted to be someone she couldn’t be. And Nev was a friend that she always was looking for, and she didn’t want to lose that friendship.

And I think it’s amazing what Nev did. If it was me, who was in his position, then the first thing I will think is to run away. I don’t know what I would do, but I will probably fell really uncomfortable.

I think it’s depends on who it is, you meet over the Internet. Its help if they are a picture and a webcam, and maybe some personal information, then it’s will be safer, but it’s will be a bad idea if you meet one after one conversation. But I think that meeting up someone more open and bland is probably better than somewhere not as well-known. Also if you meet people over Facebook or Twitter, then you never know if they are who they say they are. But I have never done it, and I will probably never do it. But I know some people that have done it, and nothing bad happened.

The only social media that have impact me was Instagram. But I didn’t really connect with any people, but I followed some people who were interesting in the same stuff as me, and the followed me back. But there wasn’t a big connection, only some pictures that was sending to each other. I also followed my friend, and saw what the was posting on Instagram.
