Being an immigrant in the past and now, is a big different. That time most immigrants were slaves, and they didn’t have any rights. Most immigrants were treated like animals, they were black, different, and they weren’t “clean”. That time it wasn’t normal for a black person to have his own farm. It was his goal to serve the white people, and nothing more. Most slaves were people who had been captive, where after they would get punished. In the beginning it didn’t mean if they were black or white, but years late, it wasn’t that normal with a white slave. Being a slave meant that you didn’t have any rights. The owner of the slave could make them do anything. He could decide if they may sleep or not, get married, with whom, how many kids they could get and so on. A slave weren’t a human, it was a thing, they didn’t have feeling, meaning.
Some people still see it like that, but it’s not all who is so narrow-minded. Most people have opened their eyes and see that “they” are like us, beside the color. Being an immigrant will always be hard because they have to adapt to our country our religion, rules, just the way we live our life. As I see it, being an immigrant in Denmark for example, is certainly not easy, but it can be even more difficult to be a “well-integrated” immigrant when one is confronted with its religious community. With all the isolations, insults, threats, harassments and sometimes it will result with attacks. But these persons, whether public statistics or not, choose to carry on. Lots of them doesn’t see them self to be primarily Danes. What they all have in common, however, is the fact that they like to be first of all considered as “human beings”, individuals away from national and cultural borders. The principles that they share are worldwide and therefore, it’s a good idea to think about leaving such terms as “well-integrated immigrants” or “traitors.” Since they are so focused on labelling a person entirely or, they do not leave room for people who are both; people who have chosen not to follow one complete constructed cultural model - but a personal combined one. So far, it demands hard work to create the necessary tolerance for this choice from both sides of the integration process.
Tak på forhånd.

There is a big difference between being an immigrant today than back in the old days.
Back then, most immigrants were slaves and did not have any rights.
They were treated like animals and viewed upon with disgust.
An immigrant's goal in life was to serve the white man and nothing more.
He or she was not allowed to have his own farm or business and was held captive by their white owner
The owner decided everything for them.
He decided whether they should sleep or not, get married, with whom, how many kids they could get and so on.
Being a slave, you were basically an object with the only purpose of serving your master.
There are still people today who see immigrants that way.
However, most people have opened their eyes and do not regard immigrants as objects, whose only purpose is to serve, but as human beings.
However, there still are problems for immigrants. They have to adapt to the ways in which we live our lives.
A task that has become progressively more difficult with the increase in religious confrontations.

= there are still
We experience how cultural confrontations on religious matters often lead to insults, harassments, threats and even attacks on humanity itself.
These acts are committed by people not only tired being confronted about their relgious beliefs, but also tired of not being regarded as a "human being.
They hate to be told what values they should live their lives according to.
They do not only want to live according to their new country's set of values, but combine these values with the ones they know from home.
This is a task that is going to require a lot of work from people on both sides of the integration process.
