Vil meget gerne have checket min oversættelse igennem :) Den danske står nedenunder.
When you first arrive to the Scottish town, Inverness and take your first walk at the main street, you get the impression that a lot of the inhabitants of the town, lives by the myth about the Loch Ness monster. In almost every shop window you see Nessie-posters, cards over Loch Ness with information about where and when she was seen the last time, Nessie on postcards, “Scientific” drawings by different prehistoric retile which looks like descriptions of her, sea monsters of glass and porcelain, toys-Nessies with bagpipe and tam o’ shanter, books full of shocking anecdotes and scientifically treatises about this famous sea monster, who maintains to live in the muddy water, way down under the water level in the inconceivable deep Loch Ness.
Zoologists, who believe on Nessie’s existents, thinks that a prehistoric saurian family, so called plesiosaurus’, has survived in the deep of the sea, where it has lived by eel, salmon and trout, which is to be found in huge quantities in Loch Ness. The first written account about Nessie descends from the year 565, and since then Nessie has been seen many times, partly as a shadow right under the water level and partly as inexplicable humps in the water.
22nd July 1933 she actually came up from the water, if you should believe Mr. Spicer and his wife, who an early morning, drove through the winding road between the towns Dores and Foyers. They saw a giant creature lumber across the road, which at this point is very close to the edge of the lake. The creature had a long, snakelike tail and a big clumpy body and moved itself very fast out of sight and to the waterline.
At August the 20th 1952 she was also seen very closely, when Mrs. Greta Finlay, who live in Inverness, sad by her caravan at a parking place by Torr Point. She heard a splash in the water and saw the monster duck up right in front of her, so close to the edge that she swore that she could have “hit Nessie with a pebble”. In the meantime she did not have resourcefulness to through anything against Nessie, because she actually was so paralysed by fear until the giant animal despaired into the dark water.
