Kort efter slaget ved Little Bighorn matte sitting bull flygte over grænsen til Canada, eller til the land of the grandmother.

Shortly afterwards the battle by the little Bighorn Sitting Bull had to run across the board to Canada, or to the little Land of the Grandmother. It soon, however, turned out, that like The Great Father wasn’t happy for having Sitting Bull in his country, so the Great Grandmother was, neither happy for having him on hers.

He didn’t get any help in the hart winters and therefore he had to make peace in 1881 with the Great father and settle down in a reservation in the USA. Here he lived peacefully even so he didn’t hide his distrust and his indignation against the White.

Many Indians consider Sitting Bull as their leader and a symbol on their opposition. He had also become so known among the White, that William F. Cody, also called Buffalo Bill, took him along to the Wild West Show, which toured in the USA and Canada with big success. In the end of the 1880 century the so-called Ghost Dance religion scattered among the Indian tribes.

her er hvordan jeg ville have oversat: Shortly afterwards the battle at little Bighorn, Sitting Bull had to flee across the boarder to Canada, or to the little Land of the Grandmother. It soon however turned out, that like The Great Father was not glad to have Sitting Bull in his country, then the Great Grandmother was not glad to see him, in her's either.
