Several teenagers commit suicide
Every day many teenagers commit suicide. Several investigations indicate, that its because they are lonley or have bad parents. No one knows exactly why they are doing it, but on a highschool in Denmark they are trying to solve the mystery by asking a lot of other teenagers.
Christian and Jeanette from 1.y
Jeanette: I think a lot of teenagers, especially girls, are lonely. They are trying to be someone that they aren’t, e.g. stars from the magazines. The stars are famous because of their looks, and several girls want to look like them, so they can be popular.
Christian: I don’t think it’s only the girls! Boys are also looking up to the popular ones. They want to look like them.
Jeanette: Yes, I think so to.
But that’s why we investigate it. Right know, a questionnaire, that we have made, is all over the country in high schools. They have to be honest, so we can find out, why teenagers commit sucide so often.
1.y have already answered on the questionnaire, and the result was like they expected.
95 per cent of us, think it’s because a lot of teenagers are lonely or have bad parents. They don’t have anyone to talk to and they are bullied in the school.
One of the students, that dosen’t belive, that loneliness and bad parents are the reason why teenagers commit suicide is Lotte from 1.y. She thinks that the reasons is something completely different.
