My father’s(ved personer(S) new job is located in the Northern part of (ved ting of) England, in Newcastle. Until we have found a new house up there, we are living with my uncle. He is a kind man and it is a big house, but it is very cold, because the house’s(ved ting s) heating system is broken. My mother and father are looking forward to moving, but one of my brother’s(ved personer) friends, William, was so upset that he started to cry, so now my brother says that he wants to move in with Williams. I would also prefer to stay, but my father says that Newcastle has the prettiest girls in England, so maybe it is not that bad after all.

Du har ret i, at ved personer anvender man "'s" og ved ting "of".
Derfor vil jeg sige: "the heating system of the house".
