Man taler om kvalifikationer som organisationstalent, arbejdsomhed og evner til at til at få et samarbejde til at glide. Men der er et punkt, som både tiden og udviklingen næsten er gået sporløst henover. Som en mental arv fra både mors og bedstemors tid lader de fleste kvinder stadig mændene gå foran, når det drejer sig om, hvordan man sikrer sig bedst økonomisk. Kun hver fjerde kvinde har for eksempel en personlig pensions- og livsforsikring. Og det på trods for, at kvinder hyppigt står for halvdelen af en husstands indkomst og dermed bærer mindst halvdelen af ansvaret.
