Hinduism is the current Indian folk religion, which roots back to the 2nd millennium BC. There can be found information about its eldest form in the Vedas, which unfold an extensive gallery of gods, the most personified forces of nature, whereof now only Vishnu(the maintainer) and Shiva(the destroyer) are still worshipped. Hinduism cannot as many other religions be associated with a specific founder of the religion. Veda means knowledge and still influences Hinduism in its more intellectual form. Through the Vedic religion the Hindu social class division, the caste system, was born, which has the Brahmans as its highest level. The caste system still exists, although India’s constitution has removed and banned the term “untouchability”, which was associated with the casteless. It was in Vedic time that the cow gradually became a holy animal. In the Upanishades the thought is framed that life is a chain which binds mankind to the “wheel of life” through karma, actions, and the desire for life itself, so that man will be born again and again; it’s the teaching about the transmigration of souls. The release, the road to nirvana, i.e. the total extinction, is among other things achieved through acknowledging that Brahman, the life principle, exists in man itself. The outer world is only an illusion(maya).
Nogen der gider løbe den igennem for eventuelle fejl?

Hinduism is the current Indian folk religion which has its roots in the 2nd millennium BCE (BCE=Before Common Era - det er man så småt begyndt at bruge i både USA og England i stedet for BC). Information about its eldest form can be found in the Vedas which unfold an extensive gallery of gods, mostly personified forces of nature of which now only Vishnu (the preserver/maintainer) and Shiva (the destroyer) are still worshiped. Unlike many other religions, Hinduism cannot be dated back to a specific founder of the religion. 'Veda' means knowledge and still influences Hinduism in its more intellectual shape.
Through the Vedic religion, the social class division, the caste system, which has the Brahmans as its highest level, came into existence. The caste system still exists although the Indian constitution has abolished and banned the term "untouchability" which was associated with the casteless. In was in the time of the Veda that the cow became a sacred animal. In the Upanishades, the thought is framed that life is a chain which binds mankind to the “wheel of life” through karma, actions, and the desire for life itself, so that Man will be born again and again; it is the dogma of transmigration of the soul. The release, the path to Nirvana, i.e. the complete extinction, is reached/achieved among other things through the
recognition of that Brahman, the principle of life, is found/exists in man itself. The outer world is but an illusion (maya).

the social class division
hvad så med hindu? Jeg har prøvet at få hindu ind i ordet på denne måde "the Hindu social class division", men er lidt i tvivl... og tror ikk det er acceptabelt at der bare står "the social class division"...

Lige en enkelt rettelse til næstsidste sætning for at undgå præposition+that:
"...through the recognition that..."
