Hello fellas'
Jeg sidder her på grænsen til at have ferie og skal sende min engelsk stil til min lærer. Er der nogen af jer der vil være så venlige at give den et lille kig? (dette er kun en udbid af det, i skal ikke ulejliges med det hele!)
B) Commentary on “The goal is to build an intelligent environment for the symbiosis of robots and humans in everyday life”
The quoted text can be summarized as the idea of a society where robots and humans ‘lives’ together.
The fantastic thing about robots imitating humans is that normally, as I mentioned before, robots are only used to carry out jobs, which we humans either don’t want to do or not are capable of.
In the quote is another word that needs further concentration, life.
What is the definition of life? How do you know what is living and what is not?
These are questions of important matter when talking about robots being a part of the society. I looked up Wikipedia to get a definition on “what life is” and it replied with this:
“Life is a condition that distinguishes organisms from inorganic objects and dead organisms”
If the only thing categorized as being ‘alive’ is organisms not being dead, then how can robots ever be said to be alive? (This might be a rather philosophical question, it is however of great matter because of its relevance to the society). All of our laws obviously seem to favour this as well. There would (probably) not be a single person in this world, who thinks of you as murder for ruining your fridge or as a thug for mistreating you computer because it is not alive. The other way round animal mistreating is illegal, in that case only as long as no harm are done to animals we humans appreciate. This leads us to the problem; if we in the future develop humanoids, which will be so much like us (physical, psychical) that we wouldn’t be able to tell the difference with the black eye, should we grant them human rights? And in that case wouldn’t it be unethical for us to destroy them if we have given them feelings? I think that before letting these humanoids out in society, each country should decide together (FN, EU etc.) to grant the robots rights or not.

Håndsrækning (med s), engelskstil (et ord), udbid? (nyt ord til DS, jeg synes den er sød!)
- The quoted text (byt lidt rundt)
- I looked up Wikipedia (mangler et ord)
- “what life is” (kan man ikke sige som enkeltstående sætning)
- and it replied with this (replied lyder lidt lunkent)
- There would (probably) (skriv aldrig noget i parantes, enten mener du det, eller også mener du det ikke)
- you computer (er det mig, der er en computer? Compute not!!)
- The other way round animal mistreating is illegal, (forstår ikke hvad du pludselig vil med animals?? Forstår ikke sætningen.)
- which will be so much like us (physical, psychical) (mystisk sætning, so much like us??? like us, in what way? og så bruger du paranteser igen, hvorfor, mener du ikke, det du skriver?)
- should we grant them human rights? (should we THEN grant... ellers bør der ske en omformulering.)
- unethical for us to destroy them if we have given them feelings (du skriver intet om at have givet humanoids feelings før denne sætning, så hvor får du det fra?)
- I think that before letting these humanoids (hvorfor these?)
- each country should decide together (FN, EU etc.) to grant the robots rights or not (knoldet sætning, om igen.. og hvad er etc?)
