Nogle der gider læse denne stil igennem og se efter grammatiske fejl? Jeg har selv rettet den igennem .. Men just in case ;)
The novel “eating sugar” by Catherine Merriman, shows how English as a global language can have a great importance when travelling. The family in the novel ends up lost in Thailand only with their educated daughter as a precaution. When they meet the Thais, their situation suddenly changes in a quite good way. This is entirely because of the Thais ability to communicate in English. The remarkable about it, is that the daughter actually claims that the Thais are “very rural”. In this particular situation, the globalization of the English language proves to be of great importance. The language even affects the more rural areas in foreign countries. Without the ability to communicate in English with these strangers, the whole situation could have developed into a sort of misunderstanding between the two parts. In a globalized world English is a very respected and important language. Almost everywhere you go, you will get confronted with English phrases and words. On packing, billboards even cars around the world, English is used as an informative way of expressing messages. On the other hand this trend can also be very negative, as it sort of strike out old and original languages, for example in rural areas which are known for their very characteristic traditional languages.
To some people, it might be important to keep a certain language alive, instead of just go with the flow and let the English language take over the world. But no matter what, we can not escape the fact that the English language is quite universal, and crucial to the possibility of globalization.

Er næsten sikker på at titlen "Eating Sugar" skal med store begyndelsesbogstaver (begge ord).
>>"shows how English as a global language can have a great importance when travelling."
Ville nok hellere bruge "import" frem for "importance", når du bruger "a". Ellers bør du skrive "of great importance".
>>"In a globalized world..."
Ordet "globalized" bør staves korrekt.
>>"you will get confronted with English phrases and words"
Will get, lyder lidt blahblah... hvad med "you are confronted with..."
>>"On packing, billboards even cars around the world.."
Hvad mener du med "packing"?
>>"English is used as an informative way of expressing messages."
Ikke helt klar over hvad du mener, udover at det naturligvis er en selvfølgelighed.
>>"To some people, it might be important to keep a certain language alive"
Hvad mener du med "certain"?
