Denne rapport forklarer teorien bag kulstof-14 dateringen. Forklarer brugen af proportionaltælleren og accelerator masse-spektrometri, herunder også hvilke fordele og ulemper der er ved metoderne. Rapporten kommer også ind på brugen af den dendrokronologiske kalibreringskurve. Med udgangspunkt i en måling af henfald fra en betakilde, analyseres og vurderes resultaterne med hensyn til normalfordeling.

This report expounds the theory behind carbon- 14 the dating.
