Mit spørgsmål lyder sådan:
Hvad medfører proteinmangel i ulande?
Er der nogen som kan give mig en god link, da jeg er i gang til at skrive min geografi opgave om proteinmangel.

Ernæring / underernæring / fejlernæring og sult er mere omfattende begreber end proteinmangel, men måske kan du alligevel hente hjælp i det følgende.
FAO (The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations) har en hjemmeside omhandlende The State of Food Insecurity in the World. Undersøg selv de forskellige links på denne hjemmeside. Jeg fandt disse to:
På siden Policy brief : Hunger in the Face of Crisis (september 2009) står bl.a.:
"Apart from humanitarian concerns, hunger threatens development more generally. Faced with food insecurity, households try to maintain income by migrating, selling assets such as livestock, borrowing money, or participating in new types of economic activity, including child labour. Furthermore, people tend to shift expenditures towards cheaper, calorie-rich, energy-dense foods such as grains, and away from more expensive protein- and nutrient-rich foods such as meat, dairy products, or fruits and vegetables; a situation that is particularly harmful for children and pregnant or lactating women."
I publikationen The State of Food Insecurity in the World : Addressing food insecurity in protracted crises (udgivet af FAO i 2010) står der på side 33 bl.a.:
"Adequate nutrition is essential for growth, good health and physical and cognitive development, and requires a diverse diet including staple foods, vegetables, fruits, animal-source foods and fortified foods. Nutrition is affected not only by food availability and access but also by disease, sanitation – including access to safe drinking water – and availability of preventive health services.
Countries in protracted crisis are characterized by high or very high levels of undernutrition and recurrent high levels of acute malnutrition (wasting, or low weight-forheight). These limit the development of individuals and societies: undernutrition kills (contributing to a third of the 8.8 million annual child deaths worldwide) and increases morbidity. Children who are stunted (short for their age owing to inadequate nutrition) by the age of two years are highly unlikely to reach their full educational and productive potential. In 18 of the 22 countries in protracted crisis, the prevalence of stunting is above the developing-country average of 34 percent. This affects both the individuals and their countries’ long-term prospects for recovery and development."
