Business ethics

Business ethics is about the morality of what is fair and work acceptable. It is about respect, trust and honesty in the business world. Business ethics is a wide subject thus meant that it is the entire ethic in the whole business world. Examples of business ethics are; the working conditions, the additives in products, the ethic in advertising, child labour, law suit, protesting and so on.
In this essay I will write and comment teenagers at work. I will write about my aspects and opinion in this debate because there is many good and bad sides in teenagers at work.

Teenagers at work
The law in UK says that teenagers between the ages of thirteen and sixteen are allowed to work two hours a day on school days and only one hour in the morning before school. At weekends or holidays teenagers in the ages of thirteen and fourteen can work up to five hours a day where the fifteen and the sixteen year old can work up to eight hours. Statistic shows that forty-three percent of schoolchildren between thirteen and seventeen work in some kind of employment in UK. It also shows that every fifth child will suffer some kind of injury at work which is very bad but this is just a small problem compared to the arguments which is used against teenage working. I will now mention bad things about teenagers in work.
With a spare time job you will be tired and have concentration problems in school. You will not be as fit and healthy than normally. The achievement in school and doing homework will not be optimal. Teenagers in job will not have very much time for homework, relaxing and spare time activities. I think there is a point in teenage workers will loose an important part of their childhood and there will be a lot of time for working in the future. My advice is; enjoy the childhood while they can.
There are also positive sides of cause:
Many teenagers are very lousy so it is nice for them to start having an after school job so they earn their own money. In a job they will get responsibility and they will develop themselves mentally and personally. The parents do not have to give as much as they did before to their children, which also make the children more independent. The young teenager will get an insight in what money is worth and they learn to save up and to buy reasonable. Maybe they will learn to master their spare time for homework and the job. The most teenagers will be treated equally and respectfully which is very good for their self-satisfied.
If I see this situation from the view of the society, the companies will save a lot of money by having low waged teenagers to do an adults’ work. This is also good for the global development because the companies use the money on better things which therefore results in progress but this has its negative effect. Scientific research shows that teenagers in work are suffering of loose in their school because of their work. This probably means fewer higher educated, generally fall in new educated and the standard study skill will fall.
This is a difficult debate because there are good sides with either change or no change.
My guess of a half part better solution would be; if the government raises the year limit to sixteen instead of thirteen. The teenagers at sixteen years will still have the same good sides as mentioned. I believe that the young teenager under sixteen years will not loose their childhood and I think that those at sixteen better controls their lives and they should be much better responsible.
