John Fitzgerald Kennedy was called JFK or Jack Kennedy. He was born the 29th may 1917 in Brookline, Massachusetts, USA. He was son of Joseph P. Kennedy, Sr. and Rose Fitzgerald. His father gained big things in politics, and he was appointed as the ambassador in Great Britain in 1938. John was the second child of 9.
John’s political career started in 1946, when he was elected to the american congress the same year as Nixon, and in 1952 he was elected to the senate. In 1954 tried John to be the vicepresident, but he lost the poll to Estes Kafauver from Tennessee. John was re-elected in the senate both in 1958 and in 1960 he was the presidentcandidate for the democrats. Kennedy won the election over Richard Nixon in a close election. John was the youngest president in the history of the United States.
Kennedy is known for the bay of pigs invasion in 1961, the Cuban missile crisis in 1962 and the spacerace against the russians. He said, that an american would stand on the moon before the end of decade. Kennedy was a very popular president, but a lot of people thoughts, that Kennedy were too Liberal. For the rest of the world stood Kennedy as the global american, who created The peace corps. In The peace corps could young men join instead of the army, the corps helped the third world.
The murder of Jonh F. Kennedy is one of the most discussed murder in the history. The president’s cortege was fired the 22th November 1963 in Dallas, Texas. The cortege had ended the trip and there were not so many people left. Then Lee Harvey Oswald shot the president twice and the guvorner of Texas John Connally, but he survived. John and John were driven to the Parkland hospital, the doctors tried to save John F. Kennydy’s life, but they could not save him. At 13.00 local time was the president declared dead. After the assassination of John F. Kennedy the murder Lee Harvey Oswald was shot two day after by Jack Ruby in front of live TV cameras.
The fueral took place three day after the murder, representatives from over 90 countries were represented at the funeral.
