Eftersom jeg er ret uduelig til engelsk, vil jeg gerne bede nogle om at rette teksten.

Love story Berlin 1942

Love means a lot of things, but we understand it normally as a warm deeply feeling of devotion to an another person. Love is also romantic, hugs, kisses etc. and that’s what we connect love with. We hear sometimes an echo from old stories that you can’t love if you haven’t seen your lover’s “full/real figure.” And that’s what this movie is about. Basically it’s about two women. Their names are Lilly and Felice.

Lilly was the perfect housewife in The third Reich. She had 4 children of her own, which wasn’t a drawback when it was boys – and her husband vas in the army. She got a bronze medal for being a real mother under the Nazi ideology. An acknowledgement of the role as a housewife we haven’t seen before in other societies!

Because of Lilly’s good job as a real housewife she got help for her duties at home. They got also a nice apartment, and a housemaid. Her name was Ulla.

Ulla was Anti-Nazi, and had a Jewish at her home. Her name was Felice.

One day Ulla arranged a meeting in a café between Lilly and Felice. And that meeting was like a revelation for Lilly because she had never been so entertained and never had a good conversation/meeting like this with Felice before. They become good friends, and the sympathy grew between them.

At Lilly’s home when Lilly’s husband was at home, too. Lilly and Felice were in the kitchen together. And suddenly kissed Felice Lilly. Lilly pushed her and then she said they still could be friends.

The time ticked and ticked. At that time disappeared many friends and acquaintances to Thereinstadt and Bergen-Belsen to Grünewald. But Lilly didn’t know anything about it.

Another day Felice invited her friends to come over to Lilly’s house. (In that period was her husband at the front) Lilly’s and Felice’s relationship got closer and they had probably love. (According to a man who was one of Felice’s friends)

Even though when Lilly was a “simple” woman, and a person who did not ask about many things. She asked Felice one night why she disappeared sometimes and why she called from unknown places.
Felice were scared for telling her the “secret.” But she told Lilly that she was a Jew. After the secret came out said Lilly she loved her more now than before.

Lilly got divorce later and the love between Felice and her was so big that they couldn’t be at home. They were out together in cinema, at the beaches etc.

“But happiness will not last forever” Felice’s real identity was disclosed so the Nazi soldiers came over there and took Felice. Since that day Lilly hadn’t heard from her. Lilly told the story – Her (life) story. She’s old now, very lonely, and has no friends. But she still has the memories with Felice on her mind, photos of her and the most touching thing is she still has a letter, which was framed. Their stood: “ Always yours…. “
