20 years ago it was “forbidden” to drop out of school ore just truant. It was a taboo. Today its “cool” and the kids are taking a day off if they want to. They have lot of freedom now!
I think that the problem causes many things. The society, upbringing, culture, freedom etc.
The society and culture has changed a lot the last 20 years. For example were the teachers much stricter. They hit the kids when they didn’t to what they were told to and that made the teachers and school much more respected then they are today.
The upbringing is very different from earlier because kids 20 years ago were told that the school was a gift and not and institutions of boring lessons. That made the kids wanting to go to school and a must!
I think that it’s good that the kids have got more freedom but it still have to be in a descent way so that the kids will respect the school as an education place.
I think it’s a big problem that the number of kids who drops out of school got a lot higher the last couple of years. We have to stop it with some bigger consequence. For example give little bit of money to those who goes to school or reduce the SU for those who do nothing.
Truanting hat become a big problem and the only thing there is to do is to make it much stricter. For example signature from parent or doctor every time and if they didn’t have it they would get 1 warning.
The society have to something soon because the rules and reputation is not good enough today!

An increasing number of young people are /skipping/(dropping out of their) school or/e is/ (are often (playing) truanting.
I will describe what /their/(there) can be done and (how big the problem really is.)/how many who is doing it and what I think there can be done./
20 years ago(,) it was “forbidden” to drop out of school or/e/ just (to) truant. It was a taboo.
Today it/s/ (is) “cool” and the kids /are taking/(take) a day off /if/(whenever) they want to.
They have (a) lot of freedom now!
I think that /the problem/(this issue) causes many /things/(problems)/. The/ (to our) society, /upbringing/(manners), culture/,/(and our) freedom etc.
The society and culture /has/(have) changed a lot (in) the last 20 years.
For example /were/ the teachers (were) much stricter.
They hit the kids when they did/n’t to/ (not do) what they were told to and that made the teachers and (the) school(s) much more respected /then/(than) they are today.
The upbringing is very different from earlier because /kids/ 20 years ago(,) (children) were told that the school was a gift and not an/d/ institution/s of/ (with) boring lessons.
That made the /kids/(children) /wanting/(interested in) /to go/(going) to (the) school and a must!
I think that /it’s/(it is) good that the kids have got more freedom but it still /have/(has) to be in a descent way so that the /kids/(children) will respect the school as an education(al) place.
I think /it’s/(it is) a big problem that the number of kids who drop/s/ out of school /got a lot higher/(has increased) the last couple of years.
We have to stop it with some /bigger/(more significant) consequence(s).
For example give little bit of money to those who go/es/ to school or /reduce/(reducing) the /SU/(State education grant) /for/(to) those who do nothing.
Truanting /hat/(has) become a big problem and the only thing there is to do is to make it much stricter.
For example (a) signature from (a) parent or doctor every time and if they /didn’t have it /(are not able to show this) they would /get 1/(receive a) warning.
The society /have/(has) to (do) something soon because the rules and (the) reputation(s) /is/(are) not good enough today!
