Jeg håber virkelig på hjælp her, har to tekster som jeg har skrevet og vil gerne have en til at læse dem igennem.

Det skal blive brugt til en fremlæggelse omkring John McCains holdning til etik.

As you can see on the overhead; there is not much about the ethics issue. That was all that I could find on the homepage. I don’t like to take information about McCain’s ethic -issue on other homepages, because I’m afraid about its reliability.

On McCain’s homepage under the issue: Ethic Reform, you can’t find ethic about capital punishment, abortion and other ethic subjects. However you can find hiding messages in the other issues. McCain have decided to have focused on the ethic in the politic area and the lobbyism area, maybe because he wants to tone down the ethic about abortion or other ethical areas.

On the homepage there are eighteen issues, and McCain have decided to use one of them to draw attention to an ethical problem.
The ethical problem is about the relationship between the lobbyist and the politician.

It is about the pet projects. A pet project is, when the politician uses the taxpayer’s money to get perks or to make sure that he or she would be re-elected.

McCain would like to make the relationship between the lobbyist and the politician visible. So the politician doesn’t use the treasury to channeling taxpayer’s dollars for pet projects. The Treasury should serve the American public.

Too often it happens that the treasury is being use by the politicians, who want to be more popular or want perks.

McCain explains the importance about the confidence in the government.

He makes it clear, that wasteful spending on pet projects is an ethical problem, but still you can’t take money out of politic, because you got the right to fund candidates and political parties. But the government should only serve the American public, and not the politician’s interests.

Som I kan se er der ikke særlig meget indenfor det etiske område. Dette var alt, hvad jeg kunne finde.

Inde på John McCains hjemmeside under hovedemnet etichs reform, er det ikke så meget om døds straf, abort eller gensplejsning. Dog vil man kunne finde etiske ’skjulte’ budskaber under hvert hoved emne. Han har dog valgt at ligge fokus på etikken inden for det politiske område og lobbyisme, måske for at nedtone etikken om fx dødsstraf, abort og krig.

Der findes 18 issues og han har valgt at bruge én af dem på etikken inden for forholdet mellem lobbyist og politikker, og tilliden mellem politikker og offentligheden. Her snakker vi især lobbyismen og dens påvirkning.

Et stort etisk problem er de såkaldte pet projekter. Et pet projekt er når politikeren bruger skatteydernes penge til enten løngoder eller for at sikre sig at blive genvalgt.

McCain ønsker at få synlig gjort forholdet mellem lobbyist og politikker. Så man ikke sælger magten ud pga. politikerens egen interesse. Skatteydernes penge skal tjene landet og ikke politikeren.

Ofte sker det at statskassen bliver udnyttet af politikker, som gerne vil være mere populære eller få flere løngoder.

McCain forklarer at der skal være tillid mellem politikker og befolkningen, og det skal man ligge vægt på.

Han gør det klart at et spild forbrug på petproject for skatteydernes penge er et etisk problem. Men samtidigt skal man heller ikke trække penge helt ud af politik, da man godt må give finansielle støttelser til kandidater eller partier. Magten skal bare ikke blive købt eller misbrugt pga. politikerens egen interesse.

You can find clues of ethic in the other 17 issues. The ethics in the 17 other issues are maybe tone down to focus on lobbying, and the pet projects.
