When I read the short dialog Man Friday it minds me a lot about the text “a horse and Two Goats” because in the both texts there is a kind of misunderstandings which makes the dialog difficult to understand. In “Man Friday” Crusoe tries to make Friday understand that something’s in the world is for everyone and something’s is only for some people. Friday understand what he is saying in English but he doesn’t understand the meaning in these sentences. Therefore he cannot tell Doctor what Crusoe tells him and he gives the doctor a totally different version. We can put this in perspective to Muni who misunderstands The American man.
The picture of the girl who is making a rice-flour pattern on the doorstep of her home reminds me about the point that even the poor people tries to learn a language which they can use in the world and which is a important thing to could. We can see that the girl writes on the doorstep which could mean that she doesn’t have anything to write on besides the doorstep, this gives us a clear description of what kind of living conditions she lives in.
