Jeg skal oversætte det her fra datid til nutid:

It is a dark and stormy night, where everything seemed to be haunted by evil spirits. An old man walked down the street holding a paper bag closely in his hand. He is limping towards a dark and deserted looking house, a house that no one had ever dared to enter. A weak moan escaped the house when the old man opened the door. The old man went into the house and had disappeared into the darkness when the door had closed behind him- He stood in the hallway as his eyes adjusted to the darkness and a low voice called out to him: “Did you bring it?” the voice asked. The man shivered and answered, shaking from head to toe: “I.. I have it here”. The old man dropped the paper bag on the floor and took several steps away from it. Then, a dark creature appeared, one that looked exactly lie a doll, but with an evil grin on its face, one eye hanging halfway down the cheek. It laughed in a disturbing way as it pulled out five small fingers dripping with blood from the bag. The doll chewed on one of them as the man began to think about the first time he had stepped inside this haunted house. He had been a happy and healthy man when he bought the house, but the second night he had spent there changed him. It had been just after midnight when he had heard the footsteps from outside his door. He had sat up in his bed and his heart had been racing. The door had creaked open by itself and it the opening the little doll had been. It had laughed its evil laugh at him and told him that he was her servant from that moment on, because that was the curse of the house. The man had had no option other than obey her and he had forever since regretted that he had stepped foot in that house and fell to the curse.

Ever since then, they said hat you could have heard the man as he cried himself to sleep.
