A little happy British family called McCann are on holiday in Praia da Luz in Portugal, with their three small children. Their eldest child is their daughter Madeleine who is three years old. The village Praia da Luz has about thousand inhabitants. It’s a small save vacation place for families with children. So the family had rent a luxury apartment there. On Thursday the third Mai 2007, it was evening and the parent putted their children in bed and went to a restaurant only 50 m. from the apartment, they were together with the children’s aunt. And they first got home at 22 o’clock and there they discovered that their eldest daughter Madeleine wasn’t there, only her two other brother and sister were sleeping, but Madeleine wasn’t there. The window to the children’s bedroom were breaking and entering with violence and the door too. But the parents cheeked their things and nothing got stole. The parents called quickly the Portuguese police. And the police encircled the small village to find the perpetrator and they were also searching for evidence or tracks in the scene of the crime. The parents were so worried, they begun to cry. It’s all parents worst nightmare. The police didn’t found anything useful. But next the disappearing of little Madeleine becomes seriously. The police arrested a suspect man, that lived between the McCann family.
They took him to the police station and examined him.
In same time, there were some police in the man’s house they didn’t found some evidence, but they saw that the man’s computer was full of child porn. But the police had to release the man, because they needed more evidence to find out if he had something to do with Madeleine’s disappearing. Next they the whole country knew about the sad news.
And soon the media from all over the world got interested, they begun to interview the family and they were after the family whole the time. Some journalist were very critics, for example they said that it were the parents fault, because they leaved the children alone.
Soon businessmen and celebrity begun to donate money, and they had offered a reward about 2, 5 million pound to the person or persons who find Madeleine. And there were now posters about Madeleine’s disappearing and pictures of her in the whole Portugal and England. She is a beautiful, blond haired girl, with large green eyes.
The police still have hope for finding Madeleine; they think that one of Madeleine’s eyes, that has astigmatism will make it easier for the police and other to find her, because her hair could be cut or colored but her eye can’t change. And that will defiantly help them. The police had until now examined over 4 suspected persons and there were also witnesses to the examination.
The 12 Mai 2007 was Madeleine’s birthday and she was still disappeared. The mom had Madeleine’s favorite teddy on her whole the time, since Madeleine was disappeared. Madeleine was now 4 years old

A woman who was on holiday in morocco, called the Portuguese police and said that she saw by the boundary between morocco and Spain on a filling station, a man who was pulling a little girl and the girl looked so sad and asked whole the time the man “when are you taking me to mom, I want my mom”, and the man looked really stressed and he didn’t looked like he was her father, because he treated her strictly. The woman underlined that she didn’t knew that a little girl was disappeared, but that shortly after she noticed a poster that had the letter missing Madeleine. The woman underlined also that she was 100 % sure that the little girl was Madeleine.
The police started investigating the area, where they think the perpetrator could be. Madeleine’s parents decided that they would go on a Europe tour to find their daughter.
The 13 June 2007, the duchess newspaper De Telegraaf, received an anonym letter, that in details describe where the body of Madeleine McCann can be found. The letter they got received looked like the same letter from last year, where it described where the bodies of two Belgians girls, could be found. And the police found the two girls bodies after they had followed the instructions of the letter.
Now the police are investigating the area, with professional dogs. But they hadn’t found anything jet.
