Essay (korrekt)?

09. marts 2023 af Annicca (Slettet) - Niveau: B-niveau
Hej.

“An important relationship is the relationship between the narrator and Rick.
“My son Rick sat up when we dropped off the asphalt as he knew the adventure had begun.” (l. 11). From this quote we know the narrator is Rick’s father.

Rick's relationship with his father is far from perfect. We clearly see the difficulties and the feeling of overwhelming for both. The father always keeps Rick busy by engaging him in various activities such as, summer camp, the trip etc. The father's intention is to keep Rick happy after his mother’s loss. But the fact that the father keeps him always busy also lead to Rick not being able to confront his mother’s death. Rick constantly reassures his father that things are "okay", which we hear Rick says a lot of times (l. 59). The father just wants to help him in dealing with his grief. Their relationship is far from perfect, but towards the end of the story when Rick allows his father to remove the splinter, we clearly see a positive development in their relationship.

The setting Though the story take place in more than one location, but most of events take place at a camping site. At the beginning of the story, we are giving exact details about the characters’ journey (ll. 1-3). We get some details about the landslip - it contains vivid details about the road, which is presented from the narrator's perspective. The way the narrator explains what he sees in the natural setting and the challenging road might have a symbolic perceptive. The death of Amelia, the narrator’s wife, and Rick’s mother, sets them on a challenging road. “

Rick constantly reassures his father that things are "okay", which we hear Rick say a lot of times (l. 59). The father just wants to help him in dealing with his grief. The setting Though the story takes place in more than one location, (ingen 'but') most of the events take place at a camping site. At the story's beginning, we are given  exact details about the characters’ journey (ll. 1-3). We get some information on the landslip - it contains vivid details about the road, which is presented from the narrator's perspective. The way the narrator explains what he sees in the natural setting and the challenging road might have a symbolic perceptive (Hm... er dette nødvendigt at skrive, når du ikke selv analysere dette?) . The death of Amelia, the narrator’s wife, and Rick’s mother set them on a challenging road. “

“The setting through the story takes place in more than one location, but most of the events take place at a camping site. At the story’s beginning, we are given exact details about the characters’ journey (ll. 1-3). We get some information on the landslip - it contains vivid details about the road. The way the narrator explains how he sees the road is a being a challenging road, which might have a symbolic meaning, because the death of Amelia has set them on a challenging road.”
