Engelsk:
Everybody, who has taken the metro in the central Tokyo, has probably experienced the Japanese strangely faculty of sleeping standing or sitting. At the same time many people, who have worked in Japan, have their favorite story about Japanese colleagues who fell asleep at the most strange moments – during the meetings or in the middle of the lunch.
The phenomenon is explained by a new big survey (done by/carried out of) the Japanese ministry of health and published recently. It shows that (every/all/each) 36 per cent of the population suffers from (chronic/chronically) exhaustion.
Even in March last year a committee was reduced, to study what elements in Japanese life style that leads to tiredness, exhaustion and at worst what in Japan is called karoshi, death as a result of overtime.
Karoshi has for a long time been a tender subject in the Japanese debate however a large increasing number of death, especially among quite young men at the Internet –related concerns, have leaded to the Government now try to study the problem to the dregs.
