Hej! Jeg har fået til opgave at: Write a memo from the manager to the employees of the resort to inform them of a coming visit from a group of businesspeople. Please inform the employees of their duties and responsibilities.
Og det har jeg så gjordt! Men detkunne være dejligt hvis der varnogen der kunne rette lidt i tksten eller komme med flere forslag til hvordan jeg kan få det til at fylde noget mer...

SUBJECT : Coming visit from business people
I have to inform all of you about that next week we will greet a group of business people in the start of the next week. It is very important that everyone is ready to do the best work they have ever learned, because there is an opportunity to make some money.
I would suggest that we make a big party for them and I am open fore ideas. My idea is to arrange a classic party with a live band and some nice food. I do not have any subjects to the band or the music, so therefore I would like to here it from you. You can call me at the phone or you can but a note into my box outside my office.
At last you must remember that the consumer always is right. I wish everybody good luck.

Jeg er ikke en ørn til engelsk, men jeg ka da komme med nogle enkelte ting jeg ville ændre:

Okay.. rent formelt mangler du jo FROM og DATE og evt. referent i din header. Herefter skal dut subject måske gøres mere tydeligt, men det er mere vigtigt i et sales letter. Anyway, så kan man jo bygge det lidt op efter AIDA-modellen (I take it, at I kender den). Så først; hvorfor du skriver, så alt den information du har og til sidst action, altså hvad der skal gøres.
Det er i hvert fald sådan, at vi har lært at bygge et memo op. Hvis I så har lært noget andet, ja så lyt ikke til mig ;-) Men jeg ville nok skrive;
1. Hvorfor skriver jeg? Hvilken grund er der?
2. Noget om besøget; hvad skal de forretningsfolk? Er der noget kendetegnende ved dem? Er der noget, der kan gøres, for at gøre besøget bedre? (uden direkte at skrive: we want to make some money.. hehe)
3. Hvad skal der så gøres før besøget. Eller som din opgavetekst lyder; Please inform the employees of their duties and responsibilities.
Det er i hvert fald sådan, at vi har lært at bygge et memo op. Hvis I så har lært noget andet, ja så lyt ikke til mig ;-) Men jeg ville nok skrive;

I do not have any subjects to the band or the music, therefore I would like to hear some of your suggestions. You can call me on the phone or you can put a note into my box outside my office.

they, them etc.. udskift evt. med "the guests" eller "the visitors", så man ved, hvem der er tale om.
"the consumer is always right".. mener du ikke customer? Consumer betyder jo forbruger mens customer er kunde.
Jeg er stadig ikke enig med dig rent indholdsmæssigt, men det skal ikke skille os ad :)
Anyway..
do the best work they have ever learned.. det lyder lidt mystisk.. hvad med bare.. do their best.. og måske tilføje.. in order to satisfy our visitors' needs.. eller noget i den stil..
..to make some money.. Tjener de ikke penge udover dette her enkelte besøg?
flowers in the window.. måske mere ala.. flowers on the windowills (i vindueskarmen).
i will suggest.. bare en smagssag, men hvad med "My suggestions are.."??
