Engelsk brev, kort rettelse.

Vi skulle skrive et brev om en artikel som omhandler nord irland. Det ville være kanont hvis der var en eller fleres som ville læse det igennem og rette evt. grammatiske fejl :)

Dear Heather

I talked with a University lecturer last week during an interview; she had some opinions I would like to tell you about. First she described herself as a perfectly ordinary Belfast woman who was proud of it. Margaret Anderson is a Protestant and thinks that Belfast is a very fine place to live although an exaggerated picture of the troubles is given by the media.
When she calls herself an ordinary Belfast woman, she believes that she is speaking on the behalf of the people living in Belfast. She thinks incorporation in the rest of Ireland is unallowable because people are too much independent for that.
Margaret Anderson appreciates the British army staying and doesn’t understand why some people are ungrateful to the British army. I think she sounds a bit prejudiced towards Catholics and the rest of Ireland when she assumes that they don’t like independence at all.
She also assumes that our attitude towards the troubles is the same as everybody else due to the fact that we don’t understand the circumstances and we don’t want to.
In the last part of the interview she talks about what the British did under the imperialist and colonialist century. She says that the affected countries that were exposed for atrocities don’t bear a grudge today and got over it, so why do people keep terrorising the British?
I think that comparison she makes is ludicrous and you can’t compare thinks like that.
It makes her angry and upset, when she sees slogans painted on walls saying “Brits out”. She thinks they mean all British people, but of cause they refer to the British army.
I lose a bit of my respect when I hear that, she doesn’t think rationally although she is an intellectual woman.
