San Francisco-indbyggerne er meget stolte af at have ”The Crookedest Street in the World”.
New Yorks World Trade Center.
San Francisco is a wonderful city which is placed beautifully near San Francisco Bay. Many streets of the city are so incredible steep that you have to be an unusual good car driver to drive safe around in the hilly city. The San Franciscans are very proud to have “The Crookedest Street in the World”.
For many years the old tram has been the biggest tourist attraction. You have simply not been in San Francisco if you have not taken a ride with the Cable Car.
Another must when you are in San Francisco is to visit the prison Alcatraz, a little island in the bay. The prison was closed by Attorney General Robert Kennedy in the sixties and the buildings do not look cosy at all.
But the view from the prison to the Golden Gate Bridge in west and to San Francisco in south is quite unique.
In 1906 the city experienced a tremendously earthquake which immediately started a terrible fire. A lot of the beautifully painted wooden houses burned down. But ever since the citizens has rebuild the city daring and recently they have started to build enormous skyscrapers. For the time being San Francisco cannot pride oneself with so high towers as Sears Tower in Chicago and New York’s World Trade Center.
However, an earthquake as bad as the one in 1906 can easily strike the city again, because it unfortunately is placed on the Andreas Fault.

San Francisco is a wonderful city situated nicely at the San Francisco Bay.
Lots of the streets in the city are incredibly steep, so you have to be an extremely skilled driver to drive safely around in the hilly city.
The citizens of San Francisco are very proud of having "The Crookedest Street in the World".
The old tramcar has in many years been the big tourist attraction.
If you have not been riding the Cable Car, you simply have not been to San Francisco.
One other thing to do when visiting San Francisco is to visit the prison on Alcatraz, a little island out in the bay.
In the 1960s, the prison was closed by the Minister of Justice, Robert Kennedy, and the buildings certainly do not appear cosy.
But the view from the prison towards the Golden Gate Bridge to the west and to San Francisco from the south is quite unique.
In 1906 the city experienced a dramatic earthquake that soon started an awful fire.
But since then, the citizens have daringly rebuilt the town and recently they have begun constructing enormously tall skyscrapers.
For the time being, San Francisco cannot praise itself with as tall towers as Sears Tower in Chicago or the World Trade Center in New York.

Minister of Justice --> Attorney General (amerikansk, som jo er mere passende her)

The old tramcar has (for) many years been the big tourist attraction.
