Jeg har også brug for lidt respons på en oversættelse jeg har lavet fra dansk til engelsk.

Da krigen begyndte, var det sydstaterne, der vandt de fleste slag, fordi de havde de bedste generaler og de bedste soldater. Men på grund af nordstaternes store befolkningstal i forhold til sydstaterne, kunne de bedre klare de store tab af soldater. Der var også en anden grund til, at nordstaterne havde en stor fordel. Den fordel lå i, at de havde mange flere fabrikker, der kunne producere de kanoner og geværer, som var nødvendige for at nordstatssoldaterne kunne klare sig i krigen. Sydstaterne kunne derimod ikke producere kanoner og geværer nok til en krig, der strakte sig over så lang en periode. Det var da også derfor de i sidste ende måtte overgive sig til nordstaterne.

The advantage was that they had far more factories, that could produce cannons and weapons that was necessary for the Union soldiers, to make it in battle against the Confederates. The Confederates could, on the other hand, not produce cannons and weapons enough for a war, that stretched over such a long period of time. It was also therefore the Yankees in the end had to surrender to the Union.

*reason to that -man må ikke have en præposition før en "that-sætning".
Du bruger dansk komma, men det engelske komma er altså anderledes.
Ellers en god oversættelse (:

On the other hand, the Confederates could not produce cannons and guns enough for a war, that extended over such a long period of time. For that reason the Yankees in the end had to surrender to the Union.

Her er mit endelige udlæg. Det skal bruges til mundtlig eksamen(FSA) i morgen.
The Civil War mainly started because of slaves. Generals and leaders in the Southern states wanted slaves. Then they could get almost, free working capacity. The northern states, with President Lincon and General Grant in charge of the Union, which they called themselves, were against slavery. The Union wear blue uniforms and the Confederate, also called Yankees, wear grey uniform. In that way they could see if it was the enemy coming, in a long distance.
In 1860, President Lincon submitted a law that forbid the people, in the Northern States, to have slaves. So, the northern and southern states began to argue and that was the main reason why the Civil War started.
The Southern states imported slaves from the so called The Golden Coast in Africa. The black slaves came to South America to harvest cotton, tobacco and wheat. Two of biggest slave states were Virginia and Mississippi. In 1860, the slave prices raised and normal white people could no longer afford slaves, but rich farmers still bought more and more slaves, for their fields. The northern states, that had a higher infrastructure, were against slavery, because they didn’t need them as much as the South did. The people that lived in the North owned, operated, and worked in factories and mills. During the war the Confederates sent a huge amount of slaves in battle, even though they wasn’t trained or prepared to fight.
