Mike

So there she was, sitting at the table where she couldn’t get away. This was the right moment, I had to take my shot. This was my change to show the boys that I wasn’t chicken, no I was the man – and I had to show them. Quickly I thought through, what I was going to do, step by step. First I would walk in and buy some coffee, so I could blend in. Then I would walk past her, so I could see if she had noticed me. After that I would sit down at the table next to hers. Then I would wait a few minutes so it didn’t seem to be my only intention. At last I just had to wait until she looked away, then I would be able to get my hit in – perfect!

Susan

I was taking notes for my interview – again. It was one of my biggest interviews ever so I had to be prepared. My boss – Mr. Brown had told me, that if I got this one right he would give me a huge raise, for all my good work. Just as I finished taking notes I checked my calendar: 11:30 am Makeup, 1 pm Interview, and 2:30 pm Meet Mr. Brown. I checked the time on my cellphone

and noticed that I had lots of time, so I decided to order another cup of coffee.

Mike

Just as planed I went in and ordered a cup of coffee, but the table next to hers had been taken. I wasn’t prepared for this. I stood in the middle of the room in an awkward position and didn’t know what to do. Thankfully a waiter showed me free table with only two tables between me and my target.

Susan

I had to leave at 10:45 pm, so I wouldn’t be late. So I finished my coffee and paid the waiter. Then I left and went for my car when I suddenly was stopped by a man from the café. I know that he had been running and shouting, but I didn’t know that it was meant for me.

Mike

I tried to get my breath back, because I had been rushing, first for the waiter and then for my target. As soon as I got my breath back, I started to panic a bit, what should I say? Thankfully she started. She asked if she could help me. Then I told her that I actually had been looking for her. Then she asked me who I was. I told her that I’ve been looking for her the last couple of days.

Susan

I thought it was a bit weird, but he seemed nice so I gave him a chance. He explained that he had been trying to ask me out for a date, but he had been too shy to ask. I told him that I would like to, but I had to leave now. When I got in the car I saw how sad he looked, so just before I left I told him that he could come to the celebration if he wanted to.

Mike

If I wanted to? There was nothing I rather would. While she drove away I stopped the little note with the address and time in my pocket. Then I went home to get dressed.
