Nogle der vil tage et meget hurtigt kig på min engeslke oversættelse:) ?
In 1874 Winston Churchill was born in Blenheim Palace. His mother was an American while the father, Lord Randolph Churchill, who belonged to one of England’s most distinguished families, became a member of the Parliament the very same year that Winston Churchill was born.
He was a representative for the modern opinions in the Conservative Party and many had expected of him to become Prime Minister. In 1887; however, he withdrew from the Government and died a few years later.
After having attended at Sandhurst Winston Churchill became an officer and afterwards a journalist, e.g. during the Boer War. In 1900 he became a member of the parliament; at that time he was Conservative. A few years later; however, he became Liberal and subsequently member of the parliament. He had many different ministerial offices; however, he also spent another term in France as a solider during WW I.´
During the election in 1992 he lost his seat in the House of Commons and when he, two years later, was elected again it was as Conservative. He became Chancellor of the Exchequer but after that he lost his political influence. Several times in the thirties he repeatetly warned against Hitler and the rearmament of Germany but only few people listened to him.
When it turned out that he was right in his warnings he, in 1939, returned to the Government. For six months he was minister of the navy and in may 1940 at the age of 66 he then became Prime Minister. Many regarded him as a symbol of the fight against Nazism; pictures of him, smoking a cigar with a hat and an overcoat, in the middle of London became well-known all over the world.
The Conservatives lost the election and went in opposition after the war. Now he had the time to show his great capacity as writer with the great work about WW II; he also showed his talent as a painter. In 1951 Churchill again became Prime Minister; he withdrew again four years later but continued as member of the Parliament untill 1964, where he was 90 years old. The following year he died.

Korrekt ville være "when he was.." i næstnederste linje. Husk månedsnavne med stort begyndelsesbogstav. Du bruger flere semikoloner, end man sædvanligvis benytter på engelsk (faktisk ingen). What killed Churchill's father? Syphilis! Nå, men det er jo kun en oversættelse.
