Taking a laptop apart may be only slightly easier than outing it together. It’s a hands-on job for dozens of employees in a recycling company just north of Washington. Julie Keough is a cofounder in CEO of E-structures. All kind of electronics like monestructeres – just assemble and then recycle.
“They are going to take out that outer plastic shell. That’s going to go to a particular bin we recycle with plastic, so it can get bailed of. They are gonna pull apart any working – not working, but any kind of electronic surkatry if you will . That’s gonna go to a starter and we are gonna deminise and something the size, so we can send I to a smelter, so it’s gonna be smelted for the gold, silver, platinum, cobber. And then there is the actual something tube … ”

That’s gonna go to a shredder and we are gonna diminish the size and scope, so we can send it to a smelter, so it’s gonna be smelted for the gold, silver, platinum, and copper content. And then there is the actual CRT the Cathode Ray Tube

Mange tak. Jeg værdsætter det utroligt meget!
Jeg har lige prøvet at oversætte indtil 2:09 min. Vil du også kigge på det?

.. and that cathode ray tube has various components. And it has a elailastil electron gun that something. And it has a funnel, so that funnel has a high co-something of led. So we need to take it to someone eho can process that led.“
Not all recyclers are the same. Some like E-structures are certified by third parties to meet IPA which are standards for safe and responsible handling of e/waste. “So lets take for example a o laptop, okay. And we take apart that laptop. when an order comes in every year we get something to make sure we do the right thing. And he says show me what you are doing with your mercury tubes. So we will have to go and pull the documentation for how much pound we send to that particular strange partner. And they will also show  that they reviced it and then they processed it. Not only do we have to show who we send it to, but that they handle it appropriately“. Us environmental agency estimates that more than 80 percent of US electronic end up in the trash rather than in a facility like E-structers. In 2007 that trash was estimated to more than 1. 5 millions matured tons.

.. and that cathode ray tube has various components within itIt has a stainless steel electron gun that's a piece that actually shoots and fires the electron beam. And it has a funnel, so that funnel, if you will, has a high content of lead. So we need to take that lead and take that to someone who can process that lead.“
Not all recyclers are the same. Some like E-Structors are certified by third parties to meet EPA indoor standards for safe and responsible handling of e-waste. “So lets take for example a part of a laptop, okay. And we take apart that laptop, and when an auditor comes in every year we get a surveillance audit to make sure we do the right thing. And he says show me what you are doing with your mercury tubes. So we will have to go and pull the documentation for how much poundage we send to that particular downstream partner. And they will also show  that they received it and that they processed it. So not only do we have to show who we send it to, but that they handled it appropriately“. US Environmental Protection Agency estimates more than 80 percent of US electronic end up in the trash rather than at a facility like E-Structors. In 2007 that trash was estimated to be more than 1.5 million metric tons.

Åhh, mange mange mange tak!
Det at du bruger så meget tid på at hjælpe betyder virkeligt meget. Mange gange tak igen.

Har lige prøvet at skrive noget af teksten igen. Hvis du har tid må du også gerne kigge på dette:

What about all those computers, televisions and telephones that are taken into a recycler. Jim pasler  of the bacial action network says much of it goes overseas. Low paid workers try to extract the most valuable and sometimes toxic components. “And that is the real sad part of it / that there is so much deception going on. People call themselves recyclers, but 80 percent of that material that something in the United States just goes off shore immediately.“ US law makers recently initiated a bill that would make it illegal to dump e waste in developing countries. Although the bill the supports of several media computer manufactures. It is supposed by other industry groups including the industru of scrap, recycling in industries. It says a something end up in electronic with her business and backfires  something. …the primary destination for e-waste is west Africa and asia. Particular China with the recycling process that is not safe nor environmentally sound.

“It’s just done on the street and open burning and cracking monitors with hamer, buring up the surcaid bords to get disorder of and remove the chips. Throwing chips into acid based. Flushing all the acid into the river. There have been scientist there have falled in our footsteps, when we first reviled what was first going on. And now the data is in, which have millions of health impacts

* glemte lige resten:

Some of the highest levels of dioxid recor ded in the ground water in this area called grey. This plan is completely charred. Likewise in Ghana they are finding frequency of cancer. They are finding high levels of led in the blood. Responsible recycling means more than just taken up hard drive. If laptops can be repaired. Here we say E- Structores will fix them with parts coming from other recycle units. And for those of the electronic which are in the the end of their life, every bet of metal, glass, plast, wirres are collected and bundled for further recycling.
“We are going to harvest everything we can … if it is a Out  CD screen on your laptop for example that’s going to need to taken apart somerhing So we need to to make sure when we are taking a part of a unit these tubes stay in tact. Those tubes goes to a specialized recycler while the monitors glass may go to another. Every scrap of metal and plastic are also collected in ships for other fercilties  processing. We have our finished bails that are of plastic that will go out … in every household. Toys, games. E-strctures said that 10 millions of kilograms of glass, aluminum, cobber and plastic was recycled into other items last year. That’s just a drop in the pocket compared to e-waste generated world wide, which the UN environment program estimated going by 40 million times per year. Rebecca Vord the LA news.

What about all those computers, televisions and cellphones that are taken to a recycler. Jim Puckett of the basel action network says much of it goes overseas where low-paid workers try to extract the more valuable and sometimes toxic components. “And that's the real sad part of this that there's so much deception going on. People call themselves recyclers, but 80 percent of that material that's delivered to recyclers in the United States just goes off shore immediately.“ US law makers recently initiated a bill that would make it illegal to dump e-waste in developing countries. Although the bill has the support of several major computer manufacturers, it is opposed by other industry groups including the Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries. It says that they have a legitimate trade of used and end-of-life electronic with her business and backfire get efforts to improve and sustain recycling operations abroad. But Puckett says the primary destination for e-waste is West Africa and Asia. Particularly China where the recycling process is neither safe nor environmentally sound.

“It’s just done on the street and open burning, cracking of monitors with hammers, burning of the circuit boards to get solder off so they can remove the chips. Throwing chips into acid baths. Flushing all the acid into the river. There have been scientists that have followed in our footsteps, when we first revealed what was going on there. And now the data is in, that there is tremendous health impact.

Some of the highest levels of dioxins ever recorded in the ground water in this area called Gwey Yu in China, it's completely charred. Likewise in Ghana they are finding precursors to cancer. They are finding high levels of lead in the blood of children et cetera." Responsible recycling means more than just taking out the hard drive. If laptops can be repaired, Keough says, E-Structors will fix them with parts coming from other recycle units. But for those electronics at the end of their life, every bit of metal, glass, plastic and wiring is collected and bundled for further recycling.
“We are going to harvest everything out that we can, stuff that need to get shredded wil go to the shredder. If it's a LCD screen on your laptop for example that’s going to need to be taken apart. It's gonna be backlit typically by fluorescent tubes. Those fluorescent tubes contain the mercury that you mentioned. So we need to to make sure that when we are taking apart that unit, these tubes stay intact. Those tubes go to a specialized recycler while the monitors' glass may go to another. Every scrap of metal and plastic are also collected and shipped to other facilties for further processing. We have our finished bails that are of plastics that will go out to be polymerized.. and made it in new injection-mold plastics you'll find in every household. Toys, games, also, you have it auto-parts. E-Structors said that nearly 10 million kilograms of glass, aluminum, copper, steel, plastic and paper was being recycled into other items last year. That’s just a drop in the pocket compared to e-waste generated world-wide, which the UN environment program estimated growing by about 40 million tonnes per year. Rebecca Ward, The LA News.
