Neville Ewan is writing a guidebook on Nepal, and travels around the country to gather information for his book. By pure chance he gets an old man’s reference on the beautiful city of Drughat. The village is breathtaking, and the scenery is blooming with wild - and in the same time very peaceful nature. Neville is also astonished by the great hospitality of the villagers, and he decides to dwell in the village for several days. During his stay he keeps his profession hidden from the villagers. When leaving the village, his bad conscience takes over, therefore he tells the villagers of his ulterior motif and that he was in fact going to publish a description of the village in his guidebook. Then, Neville decides to leave Draughat out, and thereby maintain the peaceful lifestyle that reigns in this hidden paradise. The villagers get upset because they believe that tourism will lead to a raise of the living standards in the village. In Neville’s eyes, the villagers do not understand the unlucky consequences of tourism and he will not write of Draughat in his book. Against his will, the villagers make him sign a document that obligates Neville to write about Drughat. Leaving the place, Neville feels as if the village has changed.

Neville Ewan is writing a guidebook on Nepal, and travels around the country to gather information for his book. By pure chance he gets an old man’s reference on the beautiful city of Drughat. The village is breathtaking, and the scenery is blooming with wild - and in (on) the same time very peaceful (-) nature. Neville is also astonished by the great hospitality of the villagers, and he decides to dwell in the village for several days. During his stay he keeps his profession hidden from the villagers. When leaving the village, his bad conscience takes over, therefore (which is why?) he tells the villagers of his ulterior motif and that he was in fact going to publish a description of the village in his guidebook. “Then”(indikerer at der er en grund til det, men den kommer ikke frem før senere, i en anden sætning. Måske skal den bare slettes, da det efterfølgende siger det samme…), Neville decides to leave Draughat out, and thereby maintain the peaceful lifestyle that reigns in this hidden paradise.

Super!
