Ed Jackson from Texas is doomed to lifelong prison because of hold-up robbery. He was arrested after being identified on the picture from his drivers licence. Ed Jackson is 26 years old. He is educated as engineer and has done well since he left High School. Two years ago he married with one of his classmates and his is now father to a one year’s old girl.
We have got the permission to talk with him in prison. He appears to be a quiet black man, as he calm enters the room and sits down to talk with us. He tells about how it was said in the court that he had a criminal past, which was not correct at all. Self he claims that it comes from a report of him, which a 68 years old woman had send in. She thought it was suspicious that he often sat alone and read in that park where she self went for a walk every day. She felt that she had to go to the police with her suspect when a robbery was committed in a restaurant nearby.
He was doomed, even though there was given a testify about that he was on work that day when was robbery was committed. Ed Jackson leans back in the chair and sits silent one moment before he continues to talk about that his lawyer left him when it showed that all of his money was gone. Ed Jackson adds that he really fells graceful about that NAACP now has assigned a lawyer to work on his appeal case. He self believe in that the justice in the end will win.
