He doesn't want to live in the same place with the unintelligent persons, as he thought that he don't is like them.He will be a different person than them.He has a bad relationship both with his mother and father, and he hates them both. His mother Thelma who has lived in Plaistow in bad cicumstances all her life, she known porverty and hardship.But this bad background has made her very aggressive when it comes to money. She doesn't show Joe love , care end safety. So it makes that the relationship between the mother and her son is indeed missing.Maybe that's why Joe has ended as a criminal, he needs somebody to trust. He does not respect his father, whereas he has respect for his mother even though he says her:.............
His father doesn't do anything about his son and his wife.Therefor hate Joe his father, also his attitude to life. His parents have differents way of thinking, maybe that's why he hates them. Joe has a bad circle because his friends are all troubelmakers and they are more or less criminals. It's very hard for him to get out of that circle.The themes are racism, survival and being different. I think the text give us a example of a young skinhead boy, who try to get out of the same place he all time is.He will be a different boy, as a skinhead who don't like so much the black people.But he is in the beginning to be a part of skinhead persons...
