Do you wish to donate your organs to another human being?
This is a very tough decision to make, and most people just choose not to answer. Maybe this is because people do not want to think of it, because thinking of it is just like pretending you are al-ready dead. Or maybe it is because they do not know anything about donating organs. And this un-awareness is caused by a lack of information on the subject.
The very idea that you can save another human being is fascinating. And look at it this way: you are already dead, so you cannot use your organs anymore. Then why not donate them!?
I am definitely in support of donating organs. The day I turned 18, I became a donor. Not by donat-ing, but by signing a donor-card, which allows doctors to use my organs after my death without asking my relatives for permission.
I think it is important that you take a stand on this issue, and it is likewise important that no one can be blamed for their decisions. If a person declines becoming a donor, it is perfectly okay. Because then that person has taken a stand and thought it over.
No one ever talks about it, but can any of us imagine how it is like to be given hope and know that this hope imply the death of another human being? Would you be thankful or would you feel miser-able? This duplicity of the situation will always exist. I doubt that there will ever be enough organs to cover the demand. And is that a fortunate thing?
