Violence in Great Britain

Summary
Noel Gallagher of the rock band Oasis told to a ceremony about violence in Britain.
He believes young people will be affected much by the media today. Both of the games, movies and more, but that young people are not frightened by the violent scenes, since it has been a part of their everyday lives.
It has also been a bigger problem with knives in the night life in London. In 2008 there were 20 cases throughout with knives, which in most of the cases involved teenagers, who have also seen rise in brutal gang violence, where young people are involved. Politicians and police can´t explain why there has been such an increase in violence.
Noel Gallagher believes the British politicians must spend less on foreign inward wars, and spend more on arts centers, sports centers, playgrounds and other places, then young people might find some meaning to life, and don´t commit crime instead.

Violence in Denmark compared Britain
I didn´t believe the violence in England is got a bigger problem, I just think more people report the violence to the police. However, I am sure that the violence that occurs among young people today compared to the violence that occurred 10 years ago, has become more brutal. It has become popular among young people to have knives and other defense "weapons" with the night life, and therefore is the consequences of the violence occurring today much more than 10 years ago. Here, I think certainly we can compare the situation in England with Denmark, as I believe the problem of violence in Denmark is as much a problem as in England.
Gang violence has also become a major problem among adolescents. Young has started to gather in groups and take in town only to commit violence - I think perhaps they lack excitement in their lives and get an adrenaline kick when they show violent behavior towards others, or they have had a tough childhood where family violence is normal and it has influenced them so they have a violent behavior.
One does little to prevent violence, both in Denmark and England. But I think England are ahead on the technical level, how they can prevent imminent violence to be caused by the many surveillance systems are set up in the big cities. I am aware there are also this system come in Copenhagen, etc. but because of our laws is not possible to make a system like in England. Therefore act surveillance systems not as good as in England. We have in Denmark, tried to discourage people by making tougher sentences, yet this has not helped. So the best solution has been campaigns which focus on ex. Knives in the night life.
