This short story is about two people, the taxi-driver and the woman, Miriam. Miriam has just been hospitalized because of a heart condition. When she gets discharged, a taxi picks her up. The Taxi-driver and Miriam talk together, and the entire conversation starts with the taxi driver says "I Live Like a Dog, Alone" and it develops not just a normal conversation.They begin to talk about the taxi driver's personal life, and he tells her how it is to live alone, and then he taxi-driver tells her that he'll never get a girlfriend who loves him. Miriam tries to get him into better mood, and she says that he will find a girl some day.
In the end, they come to Miriam´s house, and he asked her. if he could come inside, and get a cup of coffee. Miriam replied "Yes".
