Engelsk referat, er pludselig i tvivl.

Hej jeg sidder, og har skrevet et engelsk referat af en article, som handler om hooliganisme. Er dog pludselig blevet i tvivl om hvordan man skriver et engelsk referat, og om det er rigtigt det jeg har skrevet. Er der ikke en retningslinje om at man skal skrive i nutid, og er der andre retningslinjer. Nedenunder har jeg lige taget et uddrag af mit referat, og vil i ikke lige tage en vurdering på om det er rigtigt den måde jeg har grebet opgaven an på.

The Sporting Spirit is an article by George Orwell and was published in 1945. The Sporting spirit is about what sports has come to tells. The writer George Orwell concludes that sport has come to a point, where it brings up a bad feeling in people. He supports this conclusion by telling the reader about some football events. He tells about the Arsenal match where it had ended up in two players from each team were come to blows and the crowd booed the referee, and in the Glasgow match it simply was a free for all match. He tells also about a controversy. The Russians had claimed that Arsenal was an all-England team, but the England said it was a league team. He believes that this controversy will continue on and they will never come to an agreement.

Orwell is amazed of hearing people saying that sport leads to goodwill between the nations, and that sport will never create hatred between people. He disagrees he says that international sporting leads to hatred between people and that peoples’ behaviour changes when they access the football pitch, and the question of prestige arises now they are not playing for fun anymore. At the international sporting events, Orwell points out that it is not the players behaviour which are changing, it is the spectators which behaviour changes to an aggressively behaviour. They believe that when to teams’ plays against each other it is a test of national virtue. He tells us that football is not the only sport which causes ill-will. Cricket and boxing also causes ill-will.
