Make a summary of the film.

The film is about 3 halfbreed aboriginal girls, Molly, Daisy and their cousin Gracie. They are belonging to the Jigalong tribe, which is quite close to the white settlers trade station where can they get rations of food everyday. They are brought up like native aboriginals, to hunt collect, track and then they got a spiritual sense. Their father is living at the trade station, where he put up the rabbit proof fence.

But one day, a man comes to get the three halfbreed girls. Molly Daisy and Gracie are going to a institution witch educates aboriginal children to be like the white settlers. From there the idyll is broken. The institution is called Moore River. Molly decides that the institution isn't  a nice place. She is good to cover her tracks and therefore they are leaving when the rain starts. But the hunter Moodoo has covered some of their tracks. Moodoo has cached every aboriginal child who has tried to escape from Moore River. Molly Daisy and Gracie are on a very long trip heading towards Jigalong 1200 miles away.

What did you like about it?

I think it is a very interesting story, because it says much about how i was to be aboriginal in the 1930. Specifically about the halfbreed aboriginal children and how they were educated to be white and breed out of the community. It was also good because i didn’t knew much about the stolen generation before i saw the movie. i think the film is taken to a higher level because the film is based on the novel “Rabbit-proof Fence” which is written by the true Molly Craig and it is a true story. I think the story is a very good example on how difficult it is for people in the fourthworld to integrate in the modern communities, like the native Americans, the Inuits and in this film the Aboriginals. After i saw the film, did i think about how the aboriginals have it today.

Which 4 questions would you like to ask about the film to understand it better?
What scares the man in the ending?
Why is Moodoo helping Mr. Neville?
Why do the Australian government want to breed the halfbreed aboriginals out of the community?
Why is it called the rabbit proof fence when there is rabbits on both sides of the fence?

Characterize Molly, Daisy and Gracie.

Molly Daisy and Gracie are three halfbreed aboriginal girls from the tripe which lives in Jigalong. They all got a aboriginal mom and a European father. Molly and Daisy is sisters and Gracie is their cousin. They are brought up like native aboriginals, to hunt collect and track like every other Aboriginal. Molly is the oldest of the three children, she is very brave and good to cover their tracks. she is smart, clever, strong and not so naive. Daisy is a little girl which does what her sister says. Gracie is quite naive. We can see that because a aboriginal man says, that he know where her mother is Gracie follows his advice and gets caught.
