Udsagnsordets rigtige form

Jeg mangler hjælp til at skrive verberne (udsagnsordene) i den rigtige form i nedenstående tekst.
 

Eksempel: An Englishman and an Irishman were driving  (drive) head on, at night, on a twisty, dark road.

on a sharp bend in the road. To the amazement of both, they (3) ___________(be)
unhurt, though their cars were both destroyed. In celebration of their luck, both

point, the Englishman (5)_________ (go) to the boot of his car and fetched a 12-year-
