Hej alle!
Jeg sidder med to korte engelskoversættelser, som jeg har siddet og bikset med, men der er desværre noget, som lige skal på plads, blandt andet ordstillingen og nogle ord, så jeg håber at i vil være behjælpelige med at komme med rettelser på hvad som kunne gøre?
Dansk:
Peter March og hans bror arbejder på en fabrik. Peter står alene ved samlebåndet, og Richard arbejder sammen med tre piger. Begge brødre kan lide deres arbejde, men de er utilfredse med deres løn. ”vi står op hver morgen kl. 5 og knokler i otte timer, men de betaler os ikke så meget, at vi kan få råd til en bil, så jeg synes, at vi får for lidt”, siger Peter.
Alligevel er brødrene ikke interesseret i politik, men Peter går dog til fagforeningsmøder. Richard og hans veninde Polly foretrækker at diskutere fodbold med deres venner på den lokale pub.

Though, the brothers are not interested in politics, but Peter (går til fagforeningsmøder). Richard and his friend Polly prefer to discuss football with their friend at the local pub.

Min mor ryger cigaretter. Jeg hader lugten af cigaretter. Cigarrøgen får mig til at hoste og giver mig hovedpine. Hver gang tårerne løber med ad mine kinder, siger hun, at jeg er hysterisk. Hun påstår også, at mange mennesker ryger mere, end hun gør.
Min far blander sig aldrig i diskussionen, men forsøger at gemme sin pibe bag sin avis. Min søster går altid ud af stuen, når røgen bliver for tyk. Både hun og jeg ved, at lægen siger, at det er farligt at ryge – også for dem, der ikke selv ryger. Ingen ved sig sikker, for rygning forårsager også lungekræft blandt ikke-rygere.

My mother smokes cigarettes. I hate the smell of cigarettes. The smoke of the cigarettes makes me cough and gives me headache. Every time the tears run down my chins, then she says that I’m hysterical. She does also claim that lots of people smoke a lot more than she does.
My father does never join the discussion, but tries to hide his pipe behind his newspaper. My sister does always leave the sitting room, when the smoke gets too thick. She and I both know, that the doctor says that it is dangerous to smoke - also to the people who do not smoke. No one is safe, because smoking cigarettes do also cause lung cancer to (ikke-rygere).
