Sådan så er teksten til at fø øje på :) Men er der slet ingen der kan rette den??

The term Bloody Sunday is used to describe an incident, which took place in the capital city Dublin, in Northern Ireland. Bloody Sunday, which became the beginning of countless killings and violent actions, also resulted in murders which innocent individuals hat to pay for. The cause for this extremely distasteful episode was that, the British army opened fire on unarmed and peaceful civilian demonstrators, killing 13 and wounding a number of others. This event was known as the “bloody Sunday”. Of course the killing of the 13 civilians, leaded to a far more complicated event.

The text, Ireland: building the peace, gives us a comprehensive acquaintance about Bloody Sunday. The sad event took place in 1960s, it all began with the words of a famous Irish American, he wanted to make the world a place, “where the weak are safe and the strong are just. However, the conflict witch took place in the Northern Ireland was anything but just. In several years Ireland has had a long history witch leaved a mark of oppression and injustice. Throughout years Ireland had been a part of Britain or the United Kingdom. The population of Ireland had some various opinions, but the major part of the population where in a disagreement. They wanted Ireland to become independent. There opinions resulted in a cruel and bloody uprising in the main Irish city, Dublin. Finally in 1937, Ireland got independent (but not completely). It was know a country in its own right. Just when everything was getting under control, a new and absolutely understandable event found place. The Northern Ireland laid claim on that they where a part of the Irish Free State witch they weren’t. The Catholic minority in Northern Ireland did not have the same rights as the Protestant majority. They wanted a fair treatment and took to the streets in Northern Ireland for a peaceful demonstration. This, later on got a highly distasteful effect, the peaceful demonstrators was met with violence. Some of them got beaten, whereas others even had to pay with there lives. In 1972, a civil rights demonstration turned into a riot. The British soldiers opened fires, killing 13 Catholics. This day or event got known as Bloody Sunday”. The Catholic civil rights got no where with there peaceful demonstration and other methods had to be used, far more violent methods. This gave an opportunity to the so called freedom fighters also known as IRA (Irish Republican Army). The IRA had a very violent way to settle things, but the Catholics had no others, and considered them as a shelter. The IRA got known as the “protectors” of the Catholics. But the IRA had no interest in rights, there only concern, was to force the British out of North Ireland. Finally in 1990 both sides realized that changes had to be made. This leaded to a ceasefire. The Ira realized that they had to use political methods, and not violence. IRA had no more patience and the bombings started again. In 1997 the prime minister, Tony Blair got committed to find a solution for this year long conflict. December 1999, Catholics and Protestants sat down to form a new and peaceful government…At last after several years of war they could now settle down with peace.
