Hej,

Der er dog et par småting, som jeg ikke helt har styr på;

-Siger man, "To play THE guitar" eller er det uden the?

-Hvornår er det x's y i stedet for y of x? Som f.eks. i Londonds undergrundsbane.

På forhånd tak.

(Delt op for lettere rettelse.)

Music in the Underground

It is an autumn morning in London and the beginning of a new working day for Taiken Mikkola.

Together with millions of other people, the 18-year-old Finn goes to the Underground to begin the work of the day.

But just as Mikkola arrives at the platform of the Underground, he pulls out a trumpet and is already at work.

It is hard work for both the feet and the pride, but it does not seem to affect Mikkola’s mood.

London is the best place, he says while he observes the passengers’ faces.

You cannot earn money in the Undergrounds of New York and Paris, but the Londoners’ attitude towards the young people is very friendly.

-On a working day of 10 hours, Mikkola can earn as much as 30£.

The idea is not just Mikkola’s.

To survive, and (to) be able to buy a bit of bread at the baker, and some meat at the butcher, more than 500 young musicians from all over the world play at the Underground of London.

They play everything from the harp to the guitar

Mikkola and many of these foreigners spend the cold months of the year in the warmth of the Underground.

But (however?), it is not enough to be able to sing and play.

You also need an actor’s ability to look innocent if the constables show up.

Taiken Mikkola has decided to stay in England for three years. Afterwards, he does not know what to do.

That is the situation of many young people today.

Because of unemployment they feel restless and without future. (They feel restless and futureless because of unemployment.)

- Siger man, "To play THE guitar" eller er det uden the?

F.eks. hedder det også "to play the piano"

F.eks. "The colour of the wall.

S-genitiv bruges altid ved personer. F.eks. "The girl's bike"

Jeg takker mange gange! :-)

Et spørgsmål mere vedrørende of- og S-genitiv..

Hvad går bynavne ind under?

"You cannot earn money in the Undergrounds of New York and Paris"
