Nogen der lige gider kigge den igennem for stavefejl og/ eller andet?

A young man called Moran is sailing on a river in Ireland. A man is calling for him; it is Eddie Regan who is a rich councilor – he is married to a rich woman. Eddie asks Moran what his plans for the next years are. Moran does not have any plans for his future, and then, Eddie asks if he want to get a job as a principal in his old school. But the principal, who is in the school right now, is a good friend of Moran. Moran says several times that he wants to think about it, and he is worried about what will happen to the principal. Three days before, Moran visits the principal, Master Leddy, where the principal tells Moran, that he loves when old pupils come to visit him. Eddie says that the principal just has a bit less of pension, and that he will drink himself into an early grave. Moran can not understand why the councilor can decide who is going to be principal. He means that it is Father Gallagher who has to decide that. It ends when they decide to meet each other at Eddies place the next night.
