Abstracten omhandler min opgave om dansk og matematik.
Grammatiske rettelser og andre kommentarer er ganske velkomne - også kritik!

This article contains an investigation, analysis and interpretation of the book “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time”, where the relationships account for progress. Beyond this, the article gives an introduction to RSA- encryption, where Euler’s f-function, congruence and the theory of prime numbers are particularly interesting.
The methods used in the work with the book, are based on both methods from the Faculty of Arts and the Faculty of Science;
The working methods from the Faculty of Arts are presented in the analysis and interpretation. It means that the script is written in preparation for fulfillment of the three taxonomical levels. Furthermore are the linguistic effects involved in the interpretation – these methods are all used in finding the message in the book. In addition to that, the message can be used to say something about the society in present time. The working methods from the Faculty of Science are introduced by theorems and demonstrations from the number theory.
The book “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” represents a different way of thinking. The protagonist shows us how a logical way of thinking can affect relationships and the understanding of the world. The linguistic effects in the book emphasize this message. It becomes clear that Christopher is strongly influenced by his plane of argumentation (logos) and lacks his plane of experience (ethos).
The math is represented by Christopher’s passion for prime numbers and other mathematical themes, which he uses as consolation. The RSA-encryption is relevant when talking about prime numbers – congruence is an equivalence relation that is compatible with some algebraic operations. The totient function is important mainly because it gives the size of the multiplicative group of integers modulo n.
