1.Write a summary:
The story is taking place in a bus. Its about a somali women with a child in a pram who need to stand up because there are some people who is taking the pram seets. The narrator thinking why the people doesent take the 2 empthy seets instead of taking the seets with the pram place. The narrator is sying to them that they should take the empthy seets but as you can read after the episode they dont move.. At one time the driver is had enough because the somali women is taking to mutch soace. He go angry down to the somali woman and scream loaud that she needs to move the pram so there are more space but she cant because she has a little child laying in it. When the somali women is going out the bus the narrator and she starts a conversasion about why dont she do enything and she answaer i cant we are all slaves meaning all black people is slaves in the white world.
2.Characterize the narrator:
The narrator is a middle age women with a child calld Mariam. I think the narrator is black like the somali women because she is taking his side in the history and want to help the somali girl to get the pram seat by saying to the 2 women who is holding the seats that there are empthy seat longer up the bus. The narrator wants to protect the child of seeing violence and took the head down so Mariam cant see enything when the bus driver is coming down and shout out laud in front of the somali girl.
The narrator has also a very big haert because she wants to do enything but she cant. She is asking the Somali girl at the end of the story why she is not saying enything to the bus driver and the women who is holding the pram seat.
3.Comment on the kind of conflict the narrator experiences
The first conflict is when she tells the women to get up so the somali women can get the pram seats. The women who is sitting there doesnt need the seats because they havent got eny pram.
The narrator is also thinking to herself why se doenst get up and let the somali women get her seats so the somali women can take the children out of the pram and close it and sits with the baby but she cant do it and she dont know why. The narrator is also angry and has a conflict why the somali women not saying enything to the bus driver the narrrator dont think black people are slaves. She thinks that black can say the same as the white people.
4.Write a short essay in which you explain the saying silence is complicity and discuss its relevance to the story:
When people see something thats not right it could be a fight between to people it could be racism a group of white push one black or they other way around its very import not just to stand and dont say a thing. Because then the silence will be complicity. If we dont help the people who need it forexample in a racism fight we are just as bad as the people who do the racism. In a democratic world where all people should have a good life with freedom its very important not just to lets things pass our head its important to do all you can if not for the people then for your own conscience

- in a pram (in)
- there are some people who is taking the pram seets (is, seets)
- The narrator thinking why the people doesent take the 2 empthy seets (doesent, 2, seets - yderligere mangler der et ord mellem "narrator" og thinking")
- taking the seets with the pram place. (fatter jeg ikke)
- The narrator is sying to them (sying)
- the driver is had (is fjernes)
- to mutch soace (find en ordbog og ret!)
- He go angry down (go)
- scream loaud (loaud)
- but she cant because (cant)
- When the somali women (women)
- about why dont she do enything (dont, enything)

- all black people is slaves (is)
