George Bush and the American government insists that the global climate changes must be solved by researching new technological solutions in the energy supply rather than agree on cutbacks on the country's release of CO2 as in the Kyoto protocol. No one expects that the USA are going to join the Kyoto Protocol in President Bush’s term and hardly not after, but Connie Hedegaard, minister for the environment, and her officials express reasonable confidence in the fact that the USA will change attitude and enter into a kind of climate political cooperation under the next President that take office in January 2009. They refer, that the politics of the climate lately has become a serious matter for the USA and that more states has agreed on their own restrictions.
Min anden oversættelse:
George Bush and the American government insists that the climate problems shall be solved through research in new technological solutions of the energy supply, rather than agreeing on reductions of the countries CO2 leaks as in the Kyoto-agreement. Nobody expects that the US will support the Kyoto-agreement during President Bush´ reign and hardly afterwards, but Connie Hedegaard, who is the Minister for the environment, and her officials express a fairly great trust in a change in Americas attitude and enter into some kind of climate political cooperation during the next President, who will be installed in January 2009. They refer to the fact that the climate politic has become a great matter in the USA in the last year and more single states have agreed on their own limitations.
