Engelsk Abstract

This study investigates with the people living on the streets of Great Britain, especially during the period from 1997-2007, where Tony Blair was the Prime Minister, and also the consequences the Homelessness had to the Welfare state. First part of the paper is an interpretation of real stories told by homeless people. This part is based on newspapers, articles and a sort of diary. The second part mainly focuses on how people end up on the streets particularly seen with the eyes of a theoretician like/in this case Anthony Giddens. The third part discusses the increase and decrease with regard to the welfare state, and the political progress between 1997 and 2007. When all comes to all, the big question is how to help the people, who need it the most. Anthony Giddens’ theory is that every individual just need the basic confidence to socialize and work with the society and the authority system. But of course it is not just enough that the individual change its accession to lift and for instance change the bringing up of children. Another important thing is obviously that the government helps out with decreasing the unemployment maybe by making people getting a decent education, and especially the young nation. That could be a big help to reduce the poverty and then also the homelessness

håber der er nogle der gidder tage et kikke kig, og give nogle fif ;)
