Throughout the last decades lack of communication has developed into a way of living for many people. Our society contains certain ideas and views about the perfect family. How the perfect family are supposed to dress, behave, eat ,enjoy life and so on. Sit down and think for a moment, does your family behave a certain way, just to please the surrounding world? Think of your children. Do they have a stabile and joyful relationship in between? And do you as a mother manage to establish a good, solid and safe place to fall?
What do you as a good mother do when the appeared facade starts to crack and your family is torn apart?
We live in a period that interferes with the traditional family structure and makes individuals lonesome and materialistic, because identity and communication is a fanciful concepts that is hard to find.
The short story “The Dress” written by Julia Daring brings up some interesting subjects in its themes and symbolism.
